Thanksgiving

If my daughter makes 3 pies and cuts them into 8 pieces each, will we have enough for 20 people coming for Thanksgiving? If yes, how many will be left over? If no, how many more do we need?

    The equal sign means something that you answer to like the sum and product.The equal sign can go to the subtraction,adding,division and multiplication.

    6 + 4 = 2 + 8
    5 x 3 = 3 x 5

    4 - 1 = 0 + 3

    so 5 = 4 + 1
    3 x 4 = 2 x 6

    Are these the same..?

    3x8=24 24/20=1r4 Yes it can be shared by 20. Every one gets 1 and there is 4 remainders.

    Hannah, Please come join us weekly in the Friendship Class. We do word problems all the time. Really aren't there enough lawyers out there anyway? Why teach more?
